Different types of toxins included in smoke also cause lung disorders like bronchitis, emphysema and notable reduction in the function of lungs. The cough of smoker is taken as a common symptom which grows as the resistance system attempts to drive out the chemicals collected in lungs and air passages. Gradually, the whole respiratory system grows to be prone to several infections because of lowered immunity.

Heart diseases

Heart diseases are considered as the most common dangers of smoking and are developed primarily because of cigarette smoking. Chemicals of smoke grow atherosclerosis and reduce the oxygen supply to heart resulting in various dangerous cardio vascular ailments.  Also, the damages caused by smoking are irreversible.

Overall, gradual reduction in smoking addictions should be the starting objective of smokers and eventually move towards absolute smoking cessation. Most importantly, the decision to go with smoking even after getting enough information about its harmful effects would prove a real challenge.
